Gloria, I cannot overstate the impact you've had on my life from that first weekend from your first IWILTA class presentation. I will never forget how you were so engaging that not one of us even thought to pull out our phones or be distracted by the outside world--we were fully present in that room with you for hours. You helped us extroverts make room for the introverts, you helped the introverts find their path to taking up space in a room full of extroverts, and you bonded the 12 of us for life. I truly give you so much credit for how close our class still is to this day. You helped each of us see that our leadership strengths were within us to tap into, even if leadership looked different than the male-dominated version we'd been taught, that those strengths may be different for each one of us and each of our four "categories", but how much we needed each other's strengths as well to succeed together. To this day, I use the tools you taught me almost every day, not just about how to find and love the strengths I bring to the table, but especially about how to make people feel welcomed, valued, respected, heard, and understood, how when they don't they "get out, get by, or get even," and how to try to remember that everyone (yes, everyone) thinks they are doing the right thing and start the conversation from there. You changed my life, Glo, and for that, there is a hug in your future...if you want it.

As one of the first presenters the Class of 2018 met with, you helped me lay the groundwork for navigating my anxiety in an entirely new setting that was well out of my comfort zone, in a way that I felt safe, heard, and supported. Knowing I typically gravitate towards being quiet, the way you held space for me and accounting for the emotional cost of my speaking up opened a new way of thinking for me. It validated me and I still carry it with me today.

Thank you for everything you've given to the program, over so many years. You have influenced and supported so many women, which will live on in generations to come.
